The beginning of the Autumn season brought us to the 3 Cities. This walk was held on the 7th October 2006 .
The aim was to walk the coast line from Sliema to the three Cities. It wass more of an urban walk this time. Usually we tend to do more country walks and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. For our first walk  this season we chose to follow the coastline of a more central area of the island. It is nice to get to know the entire island, from different perspectives. After all what makes a place special is its unique features which can be only appreciated when experienced.
We met at the Sliema Front, near the boat ferry to Valetta at 8am . From here we started walking along the coast line to the south east of Malta; That is Sliema, Gzira, Msida and Pieta coastline, then all the way round the capital city Valetta peninsula, to the Valetta Water Front area, Marsa power station, Albert Town and  Paola. From there we passed along the coastline  of the three historic cities: Isla (Senglea), Bormla (Cospicua), and Birgu (Vittoriosa).
We planned to arrive to Kalkara, Xghajra and Marsascala. From there, we had to pass from St Thomas Bay until we reach Delimara and Marsaxlokk We had planned to finish the walk at Birzebbuga Bay , but we only got as far as the Three Cities . There was so much to see that we couldn't help but keep stopping to take photos and enjoy the fantastic views that we came across.
The walk was a success and was  greatly enjoyed by all those who came along.
